With Deacon Bill Rood stepping down from his role as chair of the Liturgy Committee as of this past Easter, (he continues to serve as an active Deacon for our parish) we announce Adam Beeken's new role and title as Director of Music and Liturgy and will serve as liturgy committee chair and provide oversight of all parish liturgies. He is excited to work with and support all of our liturgical ministries. To accommodate this change we are excited to announce the hiring of Kit Donohue for a new position of Assistant Music Coordinator (part-time). Learn more about Kit below...
I am excited to be stepping into the role of Assistant Music Coordinator at Mary Queen! I joined the Catholic Church, and Mary Queen parish, in 2015. It has been a blessing to participate in the rich community at this parish. Over the years, I have volunteered with the youth and young adult ministries, the BUILD justice ministry, Care for Creation, and of course, our music ministry. Growing up, worship music played a significant role in forming my faith, and it is a privilege to get to worship with all the wonderful musicians in our parish. I look forward to helping our music ministry continue to grow at Mary Queen.
