Civil law must be followed to remove and prosecute church leaders today who have ever committed sexual abuse.
Review, revise and communicate
Rebuild trust in our church leadership with accountability, transparency & frequent communications to be the standard.
Feeling shock/anger/disappointment that we are facing the same child abuse issues again; yet, grounded in the Church and Christ. Communication and action are required.
Feeling anger and disappointment, leading to questioning their membership in the Catholic church. Requires listening, communication and action to regain their trust.
Hopeful, optimistic, prayerful & committed to resolving the issues this time and not allowing them to reoccur.
Transparency, humility and frequent communications will help build trust and confidence that the issues are being addressed.
Victims are to be heard, validated and receive confirmation that this should not happen to them.
