The BUILD Nehemiah Action is Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Heritage Hall. Doors open at 6:15, program starts at 7.
1. Mental Illness - Mental Health Court works in keeping people out of jail, taking meds, housed, working, healthy and productive. It has been a pilot program for 3 years and it is now time to dedicate funds to keep it running.
2. Violent crime - We know there are proven programs that help cities reduce violent crime. We want that for Lexington.
3. Drugs - Drugs effect so many aspects of our lives and communities. BUILD is looking at proven methods to reduce risk and keep people alive so they can seek recovery.
We need to have a strong presence to show our officials that we want Lexington to be a place where people can live safe and full, healthy lives. It will be a wonderful night! We'll carpool from MQ from 5:45 - 6:10. There is free parking at the lot behind the Mary Todd Lincoln House on Main St. next to Heritage Hall. Contact Kabby for more information (223-8887, kakers@cdlex.org).
