Pope Francis calls us to make our earth a better place. To answer that call, Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish has created a Care for Creation Commission that will present information about the importance of this Catholic social teaching.
The Commission is meeting regularly to review both educational elements and action items that will be suggested to parishioners and envisions suggesting books, movies, documentaries, and discussion to open our eyes to aspects of creation that we might not see and its importance to the life of a Catholic Christian.
Finally, the Commission hopes that all parishioners will pledge to make a commitment to one or more actions that will enable each of us to care for creation. We hope that you will join our efforts. Take the first step by joining in our preparations for the Feast of Saint Francis on October 4.
Our celebration will be at Mary Queen at 2:30pm on Sunday October 4
and will feature a "drive-in" style blessing of your pets!
Plan to join in, either in the church, at the MQHR parking lot(if you are bringing pets),
or virtually via our live stream.
