A message from our Operations Director...
My time at Mary Queen, so far, has been very busy and extremely blessed! The blessings have come from getting to know the staff and hearing from many wonderful parishioners. Four particular parishioners moved me so greatly, by their generous gifts of time and talent to the church, that I asked them to share with me why they give. bendecido! Las bendiciones han llegado de conocer al personal y escuchar a muchos feligreses maravillosos. Cuatro feligreses en particular me emocionaron tanto, por sus generosos dones de tiempo y talento para la iglesia, que les pedí que compartieran conmigo por qué dan. Their stories are genuine, their lives are faith-filled, and their service is a testimony to the glory of God and the work He can accomplish through each of us! I know they represent only a few of the MANY parishioners who give so generously to Mary Queen. I'm reminded of my hope and prayer for all of us - that we may always be open to how God wants to use us to help build His Kingdom. Again, I want to repeat St. Mother Teresa's words, "I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things."
We have all been given different gifts, and as we near the end of the 2019-2020 fiscal year, I want to mention that I noticed the generous financial giving that continues, despite the Covid crisis. Your support of Mary Queen is making a difference, and you cannot be thanked enough for how you have responded to the needs of our church and school. I would love to hear from you, about why you give to the church. Please, if you can consider giving a special year-end gift to the church, also email me a note explaining "why you give." Send your email to [email protected] with the subject "Why I give". Thank you!
I can share with you that I want to give my financial gift for the close of this fiscal year in thanksgiving for how God has guided my family to be with you at Mary Queen. And also, because I believe that God wants great things from us, and He can take whatever we give Him and use it for His greater glory. Plus, we have a pastor who follows the Heart of our Lord so closely that I know He will guide us to fulfill our Lord's mission. I asked Fr. Dan if he could share with us why he gives to Mary Queen and this is his beautiful response...
"I give to Mary Queen because of love. I love God and I want to see God's will be done. When I see how Jesus continues to teach and heal and forgive and encourage and challenge and build loving relationships between people through the work of Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish, I want to give. I love the people of this parish and of the Lexington community I receive so much from God, and I want to use who I am and what I have in order to pass it on and grow to be more like God each day."

Fr. Dan's response brought tears to my eyes. We are truly blessed as parishioners of Mary Queen with his leadership. Sé que representan solo algunos de los MUCHOS feligreses que dan tan generosamente a Mary Queen. Recuerdo mi esperanza y oración por todos nosotros, para que siempre estemos abiertos a cómo Dios quiere usarnos para ayudar a construir Su Reino. Nuevamente, quiero repetir las palabras de Santa Madre Teresa:"Puedo hacer cosas que tú no puedes, tú puedes hacer cosas que yo no puedo; juntos podemos hacer grandes cosas."
A todos nos han dado diferentes obsequios, y a medida que nos acercamos al final del año fiscal 2019-2020, quiero mencionar que noté la generosa donación financiera que
continúa, a pesar de la crisis de Covid. Su apoyo a Mary Queen está haciendo la
diferencia, y no se le puede agradecer lo suficiente por cómo ha respondido a las
necesidades de nuestra iglesia y escuela. Me encantaría saber de ti, sobre por qué das a la iglesia. Por favor, si puedes considerar dar un regalo especial de fin de año a la iglesia, también envíame un correo electrónico explicando "por qué das." Puedo compartir con ustedes que di mi regalo financiero para el cierre de este año fiscal en acción de gracias por cómo Dios ha guiado a mi familia a estar con ustedes en Mary Queen. Y también, porque creo que Dios quiere grandes cosas de nosotros, y puede tomar lo que le demos y usarlo para su mayor gloria. Además, tenemos un pastor que sigue el Corazón de nuestro Señor tan de cerca que sé que Él nos guiará para cumplir la misión de nuestro Señor. Le pregunté al p. Dan si pudiera compartir con
nosotros por qué le da a Mary Queen y esta es su hermosa respuesta ...
"Le doy a Mary Queen por amor. Amo a Dios y quiero ver que se haga la voluntad de Dios. Cuando veo cómo Jesús continúa enseñando, sanando, perdonando, alentando, desafiando y construyendo relaciones amorosas entre las personas a través del trabajo de Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish, quiero dar. Amo a la gente de esta parroquia y de la comunidad de Lexington que recibo tanto de Dios, y quiero usar quién soy y lo que tengo para transmitirlo y crecer para ser más como Dios cada día."
