Please find the update below from Father John Lijana, pastor of Queen of All Saints in Beattyville:
Queen of All Saints is grateful for your concern and offers to help us through this trying time. We will need your help soon, so do not forget about us.
The parishioners escaped relatively unharmed, except for me; I lost the use of the rectory, and my car is totaled. Fortunately, I have the church minivan to use. The church and rectory are being taken care of by Servpro. I estimate they will be done Tuesday, March 16. We will then need help to hire contractors and choose materials, etc.
We are able to use our warehouse to store beds (frame, box, mattress, pillow) to give to those who are without a home right now. In addition to beds, other types of furniture people will need who move into an unfurnished house will be needed. It is estimated that 75 households were displaced.
Cash donations will always be accepted for the unforeseen expenses. ... I will have more information to share with you as time rolls on. I will try to keep our Facebook page, Queen of All Saints Beattyville, updated as to our needs daily.
