CONFIRMATION UPDATE
Due to the Current Covid-19 circumstances and the current necessary restrictions, Mary Queen’s Confirmation date of May 1, 2020, is being postponed until a future date, yet to be determined. The information and circumstances of this pandemic are fluid and are changing daily. The formation team will inform you of the newly determined date, as soon as we are sure of everyone’s safety in gathering together for the sacrament of Confirmation!
MARY QUEEN SCHOOL NEWS
In accordance with Governor Andy Beshear’s recommendation that all schools continue distance learning until the end of the school year, Mary Queen School and all schools in the Catholic Diocese of Lexington will not resume in-person classes and continue virtual instruction for the remainder of the academic year. The last day of E classes at Mary Queen School will be on or about May 29, 2020.
With this announcement, comes many questions about how we will conclude the academic year. All procedures and changes will be communicated as soon as possible.
No final decision about future school events such as Awards Assembly, First Communion, Confirmation, and Graduation, have been made. We will update the status of individual events as the diocese and state government provides additional directives. Recognizing the importance of these events, we remain committed to hosting as many of these events as possible when we can safely gather as a school.
NOTICIAS DE LA ESCUELA DE MARY QUEEN
El gobernador Andy Beshear recomendó que todas las escuelas continúen el aprendizaje a distancia hasta el final del año escolar. De acuerdo con esta directiva, todas las escuelas de la Diócesis Católica de Lexington, incluyendo la Escuela de Mary Queen, no reanudarán las clases en persona y continuarán con la instrucción virtual durante el resto del año académico. Nuestro último día de clases E será el 28 o 29 de mayo de 2020.
