"Where true charity is dwelling, God is present there"
Catholic Charities is preparing to respond to the drastic increase in requests for rent and utility assistance. Across all of our programs, we strive to assist individuals and families who have encountered an interruption of income and would be at risk of losing their homes. Struggling to provide for their children and to meet financial obligations during this time seems insurmountable.
Countless numbers of families need us, need you, now.
Please join us in this day of giving. Please join us today as we prepare to respond to families in our community who do not have the resources to pay their rent and utilities. As we work with them through these tumultuous times, your gift will provide a stability that seems lost.
People of many faiths often experience a wide range of emotions during Holy Week. Many experience deep sadness and then great joy and happiness as we reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus.
But today, regardless of religious beliefs, in a time when we all are experiencing major disruptions in our lives, and feelings of fear and anxiety, together we will remain compassionate and hopeful.
We watch in awe all that are making extreme sacrifices in order to help those who are suffering physically and emotionally and all who are responding to those who are unable to meet their basic needs.
