Dear Lexington Priests, Deacons, Church Leaders and Friends,
My name is Rev. Carol Devine and I work in the Office of Admissions at LTS. I am reaching out to you today because answering God's call can be overwhelming and stressful. I am so thankful that when I was called, the folks at LTS guided, loved and educated me. Men and women in your parish are feeling called to ministry but do not know how to answer. We can help!
In partnership with the Diocese of Lexington and Bishop John Stowe, Lexington Theological Seminary has a new 40-credit Master's in Pastoral Studies program for Roman Catholic Lay Men and Women.
We need your help finding Roman Catholic lay leaders who are feeling a call from God. Please let your parishioners know about this wonderful and rare opportunity to participate in an online Catholic degree program within an ecumenical setting.
Contact me if I can be of any service to you or your congregation.
The MPS degree is particularly designed for lay persons seeking theological and biblical training to support the work of the Church at a congregational, diocesan or parish level.
Students will take such courses as The Mystery of the Church with Friar Tim Kulbicki; The Creation Story with Dr. Theresa Yugar; and Sacraments I and II with Dr. Michael Grigoni. Parish Life Directors from the Lexington Diocese, such as Dr. Clare Encomio and Mr. Josh Van Cleef, will lead students to think about the practice of the faith in the world.
MPS students in Roman Catholic Studies will develop skills for executing educational programs, administering parish life, and providing pastoral care and nurture for Christian communities – everything they need to build and sustain an effective ministry in a non-ordained position.
