Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary is preparing to offer the six-week series: Catholics Returning Home (CRH). The series begins on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 7-9 PM in meeting room AB in the Church and runs for six consecutive weeks.
Participants will be warmly welcomed and have the opportunity to discern a return to a life as a disciple of Jesus Christ in the Catholic Church.
Invite a Catholic to Come Home for Christmas
Ever notice how much fuller Mary Queen is for all the Christmas and Easter Masses? Sure, some of that can be explained by kids coming home and relatives visiting our parish families. But statistics tell us that many of our non-practicing Catholic brothers and sisters will be joining us for these Masses. Why? Because in spite of whatever may be holding them back from fully participating in the life of the Church, they know there’s something holy and good here and they want to be a part of it.
Let us pray for those in our midst who are currently cut off from the richness the Church has to offer them. None of us have to look very far to find someone we know who has left the Church for one reason or another. Ask God to bless them and allow you to speak for Him by inviting your family member, friend or co-worker to consider coming back home for Christmas.
Catholics Returning Home provides a welcoming and safe environment for anyone who might be searching and thinking about a possible return to the church. Using a combination of prayer, discussion and teaching, the CRH series provides participants help, healing and hope. The team and teachers, including Bishop John Stowe, will be there to welcome, support and walk with all those who take that step of faith to come to the series and give the church another look.
